In the nature park, these old traditions can be experienced when the lime kiln or the coal kiln are put into operation, or during a show.
The lighting of the lime kiln in the Hohe Wand Nature Park is a ritual every year that reminds of the earlier common production of quicklime and the seduction of this product on heavy wagons pulled by persistent horses as far as Vienna.
