It was built of jars embedded in concrete and bricks, glass bottles of vodka, wine and olive oil.
The chapel was built by Mr. Franciszek Siarek with the help of a friendly neighbor - Mr. Kazik - in gratitude to God for his life during the crash of the Polish Brda trawler at the Danish port of Hanstholm. The tragedy happened on the night of January 9-10, 1975. Mr. Franciszek was one of the 27 crew members. Unfortunately, 11 people were not as lucky as him.
