This scaffolding is located in Woudsend and was erected around 1715. The mill used to be powered by wind power. Later, in the 1930s, sawmill De Jager was powered electrically. When the octagonal upper porch was repaired in 1976, the mill was able to turn wind power back on. De Jager is one of the three sawmills in Friesland. This national monument is definitely worth a visit.
