Hiking

The once dilapidated Renaissance garden, which was even used as a campsite and sheep pasture in the meantime, was redesigned in 1997-2001. Historical documents were scarce, so a careful reinterpretation of the historical layout was chosen to continue telling the story of the place. The result is an outstanding piece of landscape architecture, a modern yet historical garden with great urban design quality (Design: Kienast Vogt Landschaftsarchitekten).
An ideal starting point for a hike on the Via Stockalper to the Simplon Pass.
