    Road cycling

    Pen-y-ghent is the shortest of the three peaks of Yorkshire at 694m (2277ft). It is known as being the hardest to hike up, but the quickest. The other two peaks of the county are Ingleborough and Whernside.

    Pen-y-ghent means 'Hill on the Border' (Celtic) or 'Hill of the Winds' (Welsh).
