Nearby is “Het Engelse Werk”, a park that was laid out in 1828 in the romantic English landscape style and which - like the nearby bridge over the IJssel - contrasts with what has recently been seen here more and more often : The renaturation of the landscape, which gives more space to nature and water. In any case, the bicycle is the ideal vehicle to experience this development silently and in harmony with nature.

In recent years, the area around the IJssel has received a good impulse for nature development with room for the river.
