Hiking

A beautiful old and well-kept building built between 1772 and 1774. The Mannheim observatory was located in the observatory tower built between 1772 and 1774 and remained in operation until 1880. The observatory was then moved to Karlsruhe and in 1898 finally to the Königstuhl near Heidelberg, where the successor institute still exists today as the Heidelberg-Königstuhl State Observatory.
