Hiking
The oldest traces of a castle on the Hertenbergstraat in Tervuren go back to 1404. In 1516, the castle became the property of William I, Prince of Orange-Nassau. In 1566 it would have served as a refuge for the Brussels Calvinists who fled from Duke Alva. The current castle dates from 1877. It was built in a romantic style by the Counts de Robiano-Stolberg. The castle with appurtenances was protected as a monument in 1995.
