With over 30,000 inhabitants, Leh is probably surprisingly large, but many households still cope with no or very little illuminated living space. It is therefore an absolute recommendation to climb at least once at night on the surrounding mountains to observe the fabulous night sky. Due to the hardly existing light pollution, the band of the Milky Way radiates so brightly even to the naked eye, that actually only Photoshop can put behind it.
