In the autumn of 2014, the Marke Welker Veen Foundation has placed a freely accessible Nature observation post on the edge of theQuestenderveen.
From this 15 meter high observation post you can look into the peat. You can also look over the adjacent cross track from that point.
The watchtower can be reached by bike and on foot during the day. There were cars driving during my visit, but that may have been local traffic.
