It is hard to imagine that around 120,000 people are buried here in this forest

The Südwestkirchhof Stahnsdorf Cemetery is undoubtedly one of the most outstanding international burial sites, alongside Venice's San Michele Island, Vienna's Central Cemetery, and Père Lachaise in Paris. There are many famous gravesites here. Recently, filming for the next season of Babylon took place here.

You should definitely take a guided tour.

Hiking

The grave of actor Manfred Krug, one of the most popular actors in the GDR in the 1960s and 1970s, is located in the far northwest of the cemetery. His fans particularly loved him for his lifelike, nonconformist, witty, and powerful working-class characters in films such as "Spur der Steine," "Auf der Sonnenseite," and "Feuer unter Deck." In West Germany, he became known through the TV series "Liebling Kreuzberg." Burial under trees. A very modest, inconspicuous grave.
