The murder stone from 1423 stands near the churchyard wall. It is a tall, rectangular stone with a Greek cross and Gothic minuscules. Medieval Atonement. Murder cheek made of Gotlandic shell limestone. In translation, the minuscule inscription reads: "In 1423, Hinamin von Ramin was killed by the farmers in Wartin." The legend tells that the nobleman Hinrik von Ramin raped a woman from Sommersdorf and was subsequently persecuted by farmers from the village.
