Cycling
Traffic free quiet tarmac road taking you off the main road which can get quite busy. Starts about a third of the way up the climb and you’ll compete the majority of the ascent on it (especially the last mile!). Only downside is three gates which were shut when I used it - no problem just involves dismounting and lifting bike over adjacent stile. Would recommend descent on the main road.
