Stonebridge Lock is a lovely place to stop for a moment. Following a fairly recent makeover, the area now boasts a cafe, community garden and sculptures.

Cycling
The River Lee was adjusted to make it navigable by boat. Some sections were straightened to shorten the journey from rural Hertfordshire into the heart of London. It's 27.5 miles (44 km) with a cycle path following the entire length.
