The gem of my city is seeing Alexandra Palace, Ally Pally, from a different view, winding up the gravel paths, through the little forest to this momentous building, riding the parkside walk with bridges artistically covered in a sea of coloured paint, the cool air warming up slowly as the sun gets higher and glare is breaking through the leaves saturating my city.

In front of Alexandra Palace sits Alexandra Park. The views from the upper reaches of the hilly green space are amazing. You can see right across the city. The flat area at the bottom of the hill was a horse racecourse until 1970. It is a popular place for walking, running and relaxing.
