Hiking

The village of Schönlind is really worth seeing with its pretty farms and the village pond with many wooden benches. Numerous tourists make "holidays on the farm" here every year. The village has been awarded several times in the competition "Our village should be more beautiful - Our village has a future".

Hiking

Little is known about the history of the village of Schönlind, which lay on an old trunk road from Gefrees to the Schirndinger Pass. It was first mentioned in an invoice from the margravial office of Wunsiedel in 1421/22, when the residents had to give eggs to the bailiff of Hohenberg; In 1499 it consisted of four farms; In 1677 a shepherd's house was named, which still exists. In 1818 the village came to the former municipality of Bernstein. On January 1, 1978, Bernstein (with Schönlind) was incorporated into the district town of Wunsiedel.

Hiking

Idyllic, well-kept village. Beautiful town center with village pond. The Mittelweg and the RW 2 lead through it.
