Lovely spot - also accessible from N and E via John Muir Way. I came from North and continued on to Kilmannan, Cochno Loch and the Cochno Hill before descending to Glasgow via Loch Humphrey burn track. Good tracks surround Burncrooks Reservoir.

Loose, fun, technical in places. Worth a detour. Would advise not cutting through boggy hills next to Duncolm. Had to hike a bike quite a lot that way round. Take the fire roads from Kilmannan Reservoir
