In the 14th century, it was owned by the Trauttmansdorff dominion, which was combined with the Scharfeneck dominion in 1390 and thus belonged to a Hungarian feudal dominion. In 1500 the court passed to the Knights' Order of St. George, and after its abolition again to the Lordship of Scharfeneck and finally to the local princes. After the ruin of Scharfeneck Castle, the farm was expanded into a manorial seat in the 16th century.
