The fruit farms in the Altes Land are inevitably one of the sights in the Altes Land, because our region is known far beyond Hamburg for its huge orchards. Accordingly, “Dat Ole Land” is also famous for its fresh fruit during harvest times. Whether apple, cherry, plum or pear, in our region you can even get the fruit straight from the tree.

You'll enjoy breathtaking views of the apple orchards, and there are fantastic hiking and cycling trails. Park benches invite you to linger. A visit is highly recommended and interesting.

Through the orchards asphalted farm roads lead, about 3 m wide, good surface. Bicyclists are close to the trees: very young trees with the new varieties to old trees. Different cultivation methods. Ditches still go through the area. From the motorway bridge there is a wide panoramic view. Recommendation also for families with children.
