The right place for dwarfs ;-). From the entrance it goes down to 90 m into the cave. Graffiti was left here as early as 1840, including by the Greek king Otto I. The entrance to the cave is at a height of 170 m.

The Agios Ioannis cave is one of the deepest vertical caves in Europe open to visitors. A visit to this impressive cave is definitely worthwhile. Here you can admire the oldest stalactite in Europe, estimated to be 45 million years old. 411 steps lead steeply down, well secured with steel railings, although you should still be in good physical shape, as the 411 steps also have to be climbed back up. 45 minutes should be planned for the visit.
