This Ice Age boulder is a Scandinavian granite that was transported from the glacier of the Elster Ice Age to the extreme limit of glaciation around 250,000 years ago. It was found in a gravel pit 200 meters away and was moved to its current position in 2006.

The boulder marks the limit of the maximum spread of Scandinavian glacier ice in the Elster ice age of the Pleistocene. It was the first of three verifiable glaciations in Northern Europe that peaked around 250,000 years ago according to the latest findings. It has a diameter of 1.80m and weighs 8.5t.
