Hiking
A beautiful circular route between Waldeck and Ilmsdorf.
The highlight are the rock formations after the climb.

Hiking
A castle was built on the rocky outcrop opposite in the 12th century. It was protected on one side by a deep ravine and on the other by a moat, part of which can still be seen today. In 1351 the monastery bought the castle and did not keep it. As a result, it slowly but steadily fell into disrepair. An information board states that the Lords of Gleichen later built a castle on these walls. However, I have not been able to find any further information about this, let alone drawings or pictures.

Hiking
A great place to rest and relax. 🤗 The chatter of the little birds can always be heard. 😄🐦
