Beckenham Place Park is a huge park in Lewisham with a Palladian-style mansion house. Although the manor has medieval origins, the park was established in the 18th century by John Crator, a noted Quaker and MP. Today, the 237-acre park offers a quiet slice of green in the London suburbs. Its ancient woodland includes oak trees, sweet chestnuts and mulberry trees.

In 2019, a wild swimming lake and BMX track were opened. There is also a cafe in the park as well as lots of places for a picnic. More information: beckenhamplacepark.co.uk
