I have known this place for 5 decades. It lies at a crossing point of 2-3 hiking routes, be it national or circular route from Sommerloch, a winegrowing community with beautiful wine bars and fine wine specialties.
If it is time to set up, then the point should be visited in the late afternoon, then the sun is in the west and the view can wander over Bad Kreuznach to Rheinhessen, or over the Lemberg towards Donnersberg.
