From up here on the bike is very tedious, many stairs and at the end of a very long steel staircase with 100 steps up .... not really useful ....
Downhill from Kraftwerk Trempel rather, because 300 of the 350 steps then go down ... still laborious, but because here's the most beautiful part of the entire Thur has (I think), but worth the matter now and then (I think)

The Thurweg is very beautiful and offers numerous spots directly on the Thur or slightly elevated with a view of the Thur.
The upper section (running east-west) is strenuous on a bike, as there are many stairs (mostly downhill, a few uphill) and a constant up and down. The lower section of the Thurweg is easier.
