Hiking
The Göbel fountain has been a popular meeting place in the heart of the city since 1999.
The new water feature caused a stir beyond the city limits even before its final installation on the Hallmarkt. The artist, Prof. Bernd Göbel, showed a lot of sensitivity in implementing the fountain idea - not only in helping the fountain to have a special aura in its current location, but also in dealing with the criticism of one of the four sculptures.

Hiking
Bernd Göbel designed this fountain, which was erected on the Hallmarkt in 1999. Its 8 bronze figures represent some of the city's history and Halle's myths and legends.

Hiking
The fountain gives the large square flair. The figures look cocky. You have to sort yourself out in the confusion of stone and bronze.
