A small pass on the V81 route, which is used by many people as a starting point for hikes. Coming from the west towards the Mediterranean, it is easily accessible via moderately steep switchbacks. However, we experienced strong easterly winds, which made the journey quite strenuous.

An impressive hermitage named after the Egyptian desert father St. Antonius. Today it is more of a tourist spot, which can be reached on foot from two parking lots.

This gorge with the hermitage always amazes you! Cycling downhill towards the East/Mediterranean allowed us to enjoy the gorge.

Here, one finds the ruins of an old stone house. The whole is quite charming, but it is advisable not to get too close, as the structure is not maintained. The setting remains very pleasant for a stop.

The waterfall is in a different location, about 1 km further and is not directly on the Katharerweg. I was disappointed when there was nothing to see at this spot. Thanks to the directions from three French people, I found the right place 😅.

nice walk, 2 hours of climbing, 600m of elevation gain over 3 km, a bit of mud at the start and then much drier!!
