There are several benches along the path between Stettiner Straße and Baumschulenweg where you can relax. The benches at the airfield are particularly inviting. There you can watch sports planes and gliders taking off and landing or enjoy the sunset. There are also plenty of flowering bushes where you can watch birds, insects and the occasional deer.

Welcome to the Neumünster Aviation Club. We have been operating the Neumünster Airfield (EDHN) in the heart of Schleswig-Holstein for over 70 years. Student pilots and experienced pilots experience their shared hobby here in the areas of gliding, motor flying and model flying. We are a flying club where you can learn to fly. Of course, we also take guests up in the air on trial flights. Pilots and visitors can also reach many beautiful destinations from our airfield. Our efforts to operate our airfield and aviation in a sustainable and socially responsible manner are also very important to us.

Safe and accident-free model aircraft operations must be ensured by observing the following regulations: The club's obligations include ensuring safe flight operations. In principle, only pilots who can prove that they have taken out model aircraft liability insurance with the DMFV or DAEC may participate in model aircraft operations. The first full member must inform the Neumünster airfield flight control (Tel.: 04321 / 62256) of the start of flight operations. If there are three or more pilots, an adult flight director must be appointed, who will be in the flight director's office.

“Children under 12 years of age and persons who do not have the necessary maturity to comply with the zoo rules or who require constant supervision due to their mental or physical condition may only visit the zoo if accompanied by a person responsible for supervision.”

The airfield has been operated by the Neumünster Aviation Club for 70 years. It offers aviation sports in the areas of gliding, motor flying and model flying. Once a year (usually August/September) the airfield festival for the whole family takes place on a weekend. In addition to learning aviation, there is also the possibility of guest flights. You can find more information here: https://www.edhn.de/
