The Weissenhäuser Strand holiday and leisure park was built between 1971 and 1973 and offers a total of almost 1,200 rental units as holiday apartments in up to three-story houses, holiday homes, and a four-star beach hotel. A covered gallery with various restaurants was opened on March 18, 1988.[4] The holiday park also offers shopping opportunities, the Abenteuer Dschungelland (Jungle Land Adventure), an indoor playground, the Subtropisches Badeparadies (Subtropical Water Paradise), a water park, and the WaWaCo (Wakeboarding, Waterskiing, etc.). There are also playgrounds, an adventure mini-golf course, and an archery range. In spring 2019, the Subtropisches Badeparadies (Jungle Land Adventure) was expanded by 3,000 m² of new space and a wave pool. In June 2019, the attraction Das Ungessene Tor (The Unforgettable Goal) opened in Abenteuer Dschungelland (Jungle Land Adventure).
