Beautiful lake with plenty of benches and a rest hut. Unfortunately, not suitable for swimming—it's a fishing spot.

Man oh man, nuclear missiles were stationed very close to us from 1984 onwards in the forest near Königsbrück and near Uhyst. It's just a good thing that Gorbachev was there at the time and, with prudence and understanding, made the first real disarmament of the Cold War possible just three years later. Without him, today's united Germany would certainly not exist.

The beaver hut right on Lake Friendship is not just a shelter for hikers, but a hut with a real large grill and a modern toilet next to it.
