The Kasbruch is a meadow valley near Neunkirchen (Saar), located southeast of the town center in the wooded area between Neunkirchen, Wellesweiler, Ludwigsthal, and Furpach.[1] The valley is uninhabited and is used for the water supply of the town of Neunkirchen and for local recreation. During surface finds and systematic excavations in 1921/22 by Carl Klein, the first conservator of the Saar region, and in 1952 by Alfons Kolling, commissioned by the state conservator Franz Josef Keller, a number of finds, mainly from the Gallo-Roman period, came to light. Particularly visible are the remains of quarries, rock-cut tombs, and a 12-step rock staircase; next to it, somewhat hidden, is a small four-step rock staircase.

An easy, flat circular trail, completely paved. It's less busy than the paths leading up to the alpine pasture/mountain.
