Excellent route both from a sporting point of view with a gradual climb and varied terrain and from a tourist point of view with a very beautiful diversity of landscapes and viewpoints over the valley. Top for the legs and for the eyes!

We stayed in a holiday home in Pietracorbara last week and went to these pools several times. Very beautiful. I can highly recommend climbing up the mountain to the right of the river. Also a nice climbing tour for children. Here you can discover a river valley completely lined with old stone walls. There are several old, partially collapsed houses, what appears to be an old mill and many other indications that intensive agriculture used to be practiced here, as in the whole of Cap Corse. In one place there is still an old peach tree with fruit. The Gumpe can also be easily reached from Cortina above Pietracorbara via the yellow hiking trail.
