The Catholic parish church of St. Ulrich in Deidesheim is an impressive late Gothic building from the 15th century and, with its distinctive form, shapes the townscape to this day. It is considered the only larger church building of this era in the Palatinate to have been completely preserved. Inside, the spacious, cross-vaulted interior, historical stained glass windows, and furnishings from several centuries are impressive. Despite destruction and looting in its long history, the structure has been preserved and repeatedly renewed. Thus, St. Ulrich uniquely combines architectural art, local history, and spiritual tradition.

Great place to stop and contrast to the higher quality wines, such as Winning, Buhl, Erben etc.

The red of the 3 new trails. Bigger jumps, drops and rocks. Everything can be ridden or avoided.

Anyone who runs here has to watch out for their mountain bikes. This trail is legal, so please don't tamper with it, as this could end badly. We can all use the forest 🌳 together. Hikers 🥾, runners 🏃🏽♂️ and mountain bikers 🚵♂️.

A cross-vaulted columned basilica worth seeing. Built in the mid-15th century. Some of the stained glass windows date back to the Middle Ages.

The Grimmeisenbrunnen is a natural monument. The water in its fountain basin flows into the Weinbach. This fountain is named after Albert Grimmeisen (19.03.1872 - 24.07.1908). "He was a co-founder of the Pfälzerwald-Verein and a passionate hiker, climber, and admirer of forest and mountain nature. Albert Grimmeisen and his hiking friend Heinrich Holder, chairman of the Pfälzerwald-Verein Annweiler, died tragically during a climbing tour on the Wetterhorn in Switzerland (Eitelmann 2005, p.49)." Rittersteine (trail markers) No. 47 and No. 184 ("Grimmeisen-Pfad") are also named after Albert Grimmeisen. Source (quoted verbatim): https://www.kuladig.de/Objektansicht/KLD-332634 "Work on the fountain construction began in 1908, and the facility was completed in 1909. The fountain plaque was only added 60 years later. The spring water is rich in iron, which causes a reddish color in the water basin."
