Perhaps one or the other, who wanders through this forest, will not only enjoy the nature – which is fortunately still present here – but will also think about the current headlines about devastating forest fires, not only in Southern Europe, but also in Germany (Nordeifel) and Belgium (Hohes Venn). A film documentary JEDER BAUM ZÄHLT in the ZDF media library from the series »plan b«, which I would like to recommend to nature-interested viewers, illuminates the value of the tree in the current climate crisis and shows examples. You can access the contribution via the following link =>> https://www.zdf.de/play/dokus/plan-b-104/plan-b-jeder-baum-zaehlt-100?staffel=2025

The Dhünnenburg was a small settlement in Wermelskirchen-Dabringhausen – but today it no longer exists! 🏡💔 It finally consisted of only a few houses and was flooded when the Große Dhünntalsperre was built in the 1970s–1980s. 🌊🏗️ Today, only the name is reminiscent of the sunken place, which was once part of the picturesque Dhünntal landscape. 🌄✨
