The ice cream here is much better than the highly praised ice cream in Söderköping (which isn't bad either). The cake and coffee were also of excellent quality. Highly recommended.

Not far from Söderköping lies this wonderful café and restaurant. It's a bit on the expensive side, but the quality is also very high. The owner gave us very detailed advice on our espresso order, and we ended up with two truly delicious, different cups. Unfortunately, we were already completely full, otherwise we certainly would have eaten something. There's a few seats inside and plenty outside. We were also able to refill our water here. There's also a station for simple bike repairs and a pump. https://jolla.se/ Mon-Sun: 10 a.m. - 6 p.m.

The lock is between the railway bridge and a road swing bridge. You can watch the events from the comfort of the lock café

There is a bike path along the river. Here you can walk relaxed and enjoy nature as much as "possible" :-)

If you're just unlucky, the road is blocked by barriers so that a ship can pass through the canal. Not necessarily a highlight, but interesting to look at for those interested in technology.
