a couple of sections with new asphalt, now plenty of cracks elsewhere

not too busy (but not quiet either), gently rolling hills, asphalt has plenty of cracks and potholes

nice route through the town centre if you dislike cars, traffic lights and sidewalks pretending to be bike paths as much as I do, this one runs on quiet side streets, those west of the river actually marked as bike streets not optimized for sightseeing (do pop into the old town slightly further north if you have the time) but you still get to see the town hall and market square and enough of the riverside to stop for an ice cream

new asphalt throughout! (only this segment, the road onward to Nikkilä could certainly use some as well...) there is now even a painted shoulder that may look wide enough to ride but don’t be tempted, the lanes are far too narrow for safe overtaking so you’ll just invite a lot of close calls, much better to ride 0.5–1.0 m to the left of the line as usual

somewhat busy, rolling hills, okay asphalt, bike paths on either side of this segment

not too much traffic, twisting and turning with gently rolling hills, okay asphalt (with cracks and the occasional small pothole)
