In the 1990s, this was an alternative to the swimming pool opposite. It even had a slide, walkways, and a kiosk (it's on a hillside; the foundations are still visible today). The Eichberg, a lawn for sunbathing, and the man-made sandy beach are still inviting for swimming.

The carp ponds are very picturesque in the forest north of the Wockersee near Parchim. The kingfisher educational trail, which is about one kilometer long, leads around the lower pond. At 10 stations, visitors can find out about the history of the ponds and the various landscapes around the ponds.
