The cycling rest stops in Flevoland are specially set up for cyclists and have, among other things, toilets, bicycle pumps, and taps. This cycling rest stop is located at Camping Waterhout, a family campsite near the city center of Almere and on the edge of the Nieuw Land National Park. Here you will find plenty of water, nature, and tranquility, but you can also be active on the water by canoe or SUP, visit the animals in the animal pasture, and have something to eat in Brasserie Tien.

Camping Waterhout is located in a nature reserve on an island. I always like to come here for canoeing, bike tours and occasional shopping in Almere-Stad. In addition, there is a direct connection from Almere-Stad station to Amsterdam Central, travel time approx. 20 min by IC.
