Kelsdonk is a nature reserve of Staatsbosbeheer in the north of the municipality of Etten-Leur. The area is approximately 250 hectares in size. Kelsdonk is a former water storage reservoir of the Mark. It consists of low grassland with so-called frikken; narrow strips of forest surrounded by a lot of water. In the winter, many ducks and geese stay here, while in the spring, typical meadow birds such as the black-tailed godwit, curlew, avocet and lapwing can be observed. A birdwatching screen has been constructed to be able to observe the birds properly. There is also a 4.5 km long walking route over the Laarzenpad. The route can be followed via green route markers.
