Probably the most scenic part of Ipswich (admittedly not a very high bar).

A visit to Ipswich Waterfront is worth including in any tour of the town. Here you can admire countless yachts, and also also eat / drink well. There are a range of restaurants, cafes and bars here.

This iconic area is what makes Ipswich 'East Anglia's Waterfront Town'. A vibrant area of town, alive with restaurants, cafes and bars; all perched on the waters edge. A great place day or night.

Nice little riverside cycle path. Not fast, but pretty for sightseeing.

I live on Ipswich Waterfront and most of my exercise, due to lockdown, is here. Worth knowing that it is now closed to vehicles to make it easier to use for exercise, although walkers and runners need to keep an eye out for cyclists as who uses path or road is very mixed! It gets very busy on warm or sunny days, so if you want to exercise you are best off getting out early if you want to be able to socially distance and keep moving. There are still occasional vehicles and when the hotel and bars/restaurants open again there are likely to be more, despite being prohibited at the moment. There is an active consultation on making the road closure to vehicles permanent.
