The Oberdorfer Mühle is first documented in 1343 and is therefore considered the earliest recorded mill in the region. It is a remnant of the former settlement of Oberndorf and belonged to the monastery of Germerode. Until 1973, the wooden mill wheel clattered, only then was it replaced by a motor. The mill has been restored and is privately owned.

It's considered the best barefoot path in Germany. This is subjective, of course. In any case, it's a real highlight.
