Beautiful, asphalted bike path and easy to ride. Especially with a gravel bike 😉

This is not a duck pond, but the last storage basin for power generation along the Rehbach.

The Ambach Valley Bridge, a viaduct, was built in 1968 by the Frankfurt-based companies Dyckerhoff & Widmann and Wayss & Freytag. The prestressed concrete girder bridge spans a total of 438 meters, with the longest span being 68 meters. The Ambach Valley Bridge gained national notoriety due to the kidnapping of businessman and show jumper Hendrik Snoek. The managing director of the Ratio supermarket chain was abducted from his apartment in Münster on November 3, 1976, by two men and taken to a 52-meter-high cavity in one of the bridge piers, where he was chained. Two days later, Snoek managed to throw scraps of paper down through an opening in the concrete wall. A city employee in Herborn noticed this and alerted the police. They located the kidnapped man's hiding place and freed him. In 1978, the Münster Regional Court sentenced one of the kidnappers to 13 years in prison.
