Tips from the Community

June 18, 2026, Einhardsquelle Parking Area

Somewhat bumpy access road, large parking possibility. Exit with heavy traffic a bit tricky. If you also plan the hike to the Rehbachsee, a beautiful trail leads through the forest, parallel to the busy main road, which you have to cross, however. An additional parking possibility (for about 8-10 cars) is located right by the lake. This is a bit easier if you are planning a hike from there into the forest above anyway.

A striking medieval stone tower house (Tempelhaus) in Erbach, one of the best-preserved Romanesque residential towers in the Odenwald. Look for it rising above the rooftops near the old town.
