The "Expansion of the Panke" construction project aims to make the Panke more natural. A new, meandering riverbed is being created on the Pölnitzwiesen immediately northeast of the long-distance cycle path, which will wind and twist across the wet meadows. The old riverbed of the Panke will be shut down and will serve as a drainage ditch in the Pölnitzwiesen in the event of flooding. The existing bridge from 1950 in the area of Ilse-Krause-Straße was replaced by the new "Ilse-Krause-Steg" bridge with a larger span due to its poor condition and the widening of the Panke, which was officially opened on July 31, 2024.

The campsite at Gorinsee is - as the name suggests - just a stone's throw from the beautiful Gorinsee with its sandy bathing area. In the midst of lush nature, you will find pitches with hedges and electricity and central sanitary facilities. The restaurant next door takes care of your physical well-being. However, mobile homes are not permitted. You can find more information and contact details at: https://www.campingfreunde-gorinsee.info.
