The kitchen at the restaurant "Am Steig" has been cold for a long time. The inn has been closed for more than ten years. As early as 1932, clubs and associations met there for meetings, and workers from the nearby Kronester porcelain factory met for a beer. Back then, the inn was still called "Saar am Steig." Even in later times, the restaurant welcomed numerous guests and served home-cooked food. The "Am Steig" sign still hangs on the building, but no one serves food at this lost place anymore.
