Direct access to the banks of the Inn through this tunnel. After storms it is possible that access is closed due to broken winds.

The Inn makes a 180° curve around the picturesque town with its colorful Gothic houses. Where else would a hydroelectric power station be better located if not here - in a city called Wasserburg. The flow energy of the Inn provides the necessary power to supply the city with 100% green electricity. Directly next to the Wasserburg power plant, a new 5 MW engine went into operation in 2009, resulting in additional generation of around 22 GWh per year. As part of the construction work, the underwater channel was also redesigned. Source and further information https://www.verbund.com/de-at/ueber-verbund/krafte/unsere-krafte/wasserburg
