The information panel on alpine farming along the Alpine Adventure Trail clearly explains how alpine pastures are managed, the work involved in cheese production, milk production, and pasture maintenance, and why alpine farming is so important for the cultural landscape. It's ideal for a short learning break before you continue your hike among pastures, huts, and mountain panoramas.

The Imberghaus is a cozy mountain inn right next to the mountain station, ideal for a break after the climb or a hike across the alpine pastures. Enjoy the view of the Allgäu and Bregenzerwald mountains and the valley from the terrace. It's the perfect starting or ending point for hikes and snowshoe tours around the Imberg.

It's outrageous that they forbid walking with a dog on a public, marked hiking trail – just because it crosses the property. An alternative route MUST be found, for example, going around the property instead of directly past the house. Today I simply walked across the meadow – only to discover that dogs are also prohibited on the ridge trail 🙈 Unfortunately, we can't fly. There was NEVER any sign indicating that this is a dead end! I would never recommend this alpine pasture.

Nagelfluh on the Hochgrat: Striking peaks and rocky ridges characterize the mountain range that stretches from the Mittagberg near Immenstadt across the Hochgrat to the Bregenz Forest. The rocks, which have been "baked" into conglomerate from scree, look as if nails had been driven deep into them, leaving only the heads visible, which is why they are also called "Nagelfluh."
