The Rennweg in the Haßbergen is a historic ridge trail that passes through a particularly charming section near Breitbrunn. It consistently follows the ridges of the low mountain range and avoids the valleys. The trail runs above Breitbrunn on the heights and offers wide views over the valley landscapes of the Haßberge Nature Park. Hikers can ascend to the Rennweg from Breitbrunn via local access paths (such as the Fuchs-Wanderweg). Near Breitbrunn, one follows the paths that were formerly used by express messengers and couriers to advance quickly and without ascents in the valleys.

It looks very dated and needs a bit of a facelift. The lake is smaller than it appears in photos.
