The chancel, with its magnificent Baroque high altar, survived the damage of the Second World War unscathed. An exceptional highlight is the Crucifixion group by Tilman Riemenschneider from 1510. It is located on the left side as you enter from the main entrance. It is worth turning on the lighting.
