Nice promenade with tables and a nice walk in front of the beach. It is dangerous to swim but the view is nice.

Near Cushendall, this ruined church was built in the 13th century and the adjacent graveyard is also home to notable figures such as a doctor famous for pioneering the use of chloroform in surgery.

Beautiful little harbour located in the seaside village of Cushendun. The Mary McBrides across the road from here sells delicious food and real ales. There is also a cafรฉ and convenience store nearby where you can pick up some snacks and take a respite on the sandy shore nearby.

The caves near Cushendun Beach formed over hundreds of millions of years and became famous after appearing in the hit series Game of Thrones. And the fact that they are a stone's throw from the pretty little village of Cushendun makes them a great stopover

Quaint little coastal village, with a few good pubs and nice busy little harbour. There are much worse places to take a break.

Yes, there are several excellent loop trails. For a walk that combines coastal scenery with local history, the Layd Church Ruins and Cemetery โ Cushendall Beach Promenade loop is a fantastic option. This 6.5 km route offers a varied experience without the need to backtrack.
The terrain is quite varied, which is part of the region's charm. You'll find everything from gentle beach boardwalks and riverside paths to rolling hills and coastal cliff trails. Most routes are on well-defined paths, but some ascents to viewpoints can be on uneven ground, so sturdy footwear is always recommended.

Most trailheads, especially those starting in towns like Cushendun and Cushendall, are accessible by car, with public parking available. However, some more remote trailheads, such as the one for the Errigal Glen Trail, have very limited or no dedicated parking, so it's wise to plan your arrival and consider carpooling.
Most of the popular routes, particularly the waymarked trails along the coast and in managed forests, are clearly signposted. However, some paths in more remote or less-trafficked areas like Errigal Glen can be overgrown and less obvious. It's always a good idea to carry a map or use a navigation app like komoot.
Given the coastal location, the weather can change quickly. It's essential to wear sturdy, waterproof hiking shoes. Always bring waterproof outerwear, even on a sunny day. Packing layers, water, snacks, and a fully charged phone for navigation and emergencies is also highly recommended.
